Amy Smart is an American former model and actress. Amy was born and raised in California in the USA. Her modeling career began in Italy. She made her acting debut during the year 1996 in the TV film 'Her Costly Affair'. After a very difficult transition that she made, she got a minor role in the 'Starship Troopers.' It was a hard time when she had to change from modeling to acting because model models were rarely thought of as actors, and they were usually granted smaller, insignificant roles.
